Practice Night Just Got Interesting!

Practice Night Just Got Interesting!

January 30, 2019 (Peru, Indiana) – Practice night for the Performance Electronics 600cc Non-Wing World Championship will be a little more interesting in 2019 as Engler Machine & Tool and Performance Electronics present the Wednesday Night War. In addition to the open practice sessions scheduled for Wednesday, May 22 at Circus City Speedway, participants will have the option of entering the Wednesday Night War and competing for their share of $2000 in cash and awards.

Drivers who choose to participate will be divided into two teams based on their place of residence –Indiana/World. Each driver will draw a random pill to determine their group qualifying session. Drivers will have 4 laps to record their single best lap time. The top 8 qualifying times from each team (Indiana/World) will move into the 16 position bracket. Those not in the top 8 for their team will be eliminated.

A head to head single elimination 2 lap race will determine who moves into the next round. The winner of each round will be rewarded with a monetary prize while the other driver is eliminated. One driver from each team (Indiana/World) will face off in the final round (3 laps) to determine the winner of the Wednesday Night War!

  • The Wednesday Night War is a completely optional event with No Entry Fee and Free Grandstand Admission.

  • The Wednesday Night War has no effect on the Performance Electronics 600cc Non-Wing World Championship.

  • The Wednesday Night war is exclusively for additional practice, bragging rights, and a chance to earn some extra cash!

  • Drivers must be registered for the Performance Electronics 600cc Non-Wing World Championship to be eligible to participate.

In-depth details and rules for the Wednesday Night War presented by Engler Machine & Tool and Performance Electronics will be released in the coming days.
